Introduction of exhaust gas analysis at the ETH, increased activities in the area of exhaust gas regulations, author of the first PTI concept for Switzerland (1982). From 1983 senior scientist and head of the laboratory for internal combustion engines. From 1990 project manager of the VW Golf hybrid field test and development of DI diesel engines with common rail injection. Adviser to Swisscontact in Central America and Indonesia and recently active in the I&M of DPF vehicles with VERT in South America, Iran and Israel.
