Around a thousand visitors experienced first-hand how medical research and innovative ideas are implemented in everyday clinical practice. sitem-insel, the Swiss Institute for Translational Medicine and Entrepreneurship, opened its doors to the general public on 02.12.2023. For the second time since its opening in 2019, sitem-insel provided a glimpse behind doors that are normally only open to researchers. At over 30 interactive stations, the units at sitem-insel provided a unique insight into the world of cutting-edge research.
Visitors had the unique opportunity to view the world's first prototype against the transmission of respiratory viruses in multi-bed hospital rooms, the "canopy" from the company Nano Clean Air.
