From 1989 to 2019 Professor of Internal Combustion Engines and Exhaust Technology and Head of the Exhaust Test Center at BFH-TI Biel. Founding member of the VERT Association and the ETH - Nanoparticle Conference 1997. Honorary member: PTNSS 2007, KONES 2008 and SAE Fellow 2009. Swiss delegate to the IEA 2004–2015.
